Copeland firm renamed Emerson Climate Technologies

EMERSON has changed the name of the Copeland firm in Europe to Emerson Climate Technologies, effective from February 1.
The HVACR manufacturer said the name change 'does not impact products, jobs or manufacturing locations, and is not a legal restructuring or reorganization. The change will not impact order processes, deliveries or VAT numbers'.

Despite the name change, the firm keep using the Copeland brand with its industry-leading products, including Copeland Scroll, DWM Copeland, Copeland MultiCool and Copeland EazyCool condensing units, as well as Alco Controls.

Jean Janssen, president of Emerson Climate Technologies Europe said 'The Emerson name will communicate our strength as a global organization, while using the high brand recognition of the Copeland name with our products will showcase our breadth of offerings.'

Emerson Climate Technologies, formed in 2002, is the world's leading provider of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration solutions for residential, industrial and commercial applications. Its global sales in fiscal year 2007 totalled US$3.6bn.
