Conference call for papers

The Gustav Lorentzen Natural Working Fluids Conference is calling for papers.

To present a paper at this leading conference an abstract needs to be submitted by 1 October.

The conference takes place in Edinburgh, Scotland, from 21 - 24 August 2016 and will focus on how natural working fluids are becoming even more sustainable. Full details of how to submit abstracts can be found at www.gl2016.com

The programme will feature three themes: Natural Working Fluids; Sustainability in Natural Working Fluids; and Alternative Cycles. Key topics of interest include: components, barriers, heat transfer and fluid flow, supermarket technologies, replacing existing systems, new applications, environmental issues such as total cost of ownership, comparing environmental impact of the different solutions, heat recovery, CHP, trigeneration, effective use of heat pumps, using natural resources, passive cooling, non-conventional refrigeration systems such as secondary coolants, ice slurries, sorption systems and evaporative cooling.

With the increasing importance of natural working fluids to the refrigeration sector the twelfth IIR will explore how these already environmentally friendly fluids are becoming even more sustainable. The organisers would particularly welcome applications for papers to be presented which showcase practical case studies of how new sustainable technologies are being applied.

For full details visit the conference website. Conference sponsors include, EPTA, Bitzer, Yellow Jacket, Star Refrigeration and Sabroe.
