Cold store study wants industry views

THE EUROPEAN division of the Global Cold Chain Alliance (GCCA) is carrying out a benchmarking study for the European public refrigerated warehousing industry.
This, the first study of its kind, focuses on:

- facility and operating data like capacity, order picking, handling equipment, pallet movements, blast freezing and occupancy.

- Energy costs and labor costs (wages, compensations, premiums) for staff.

- Direct costs e.g. lift trucks, equipment, damages.

- Fixed costs e.g. land costs, IT, insurance.

Participation is open to all European public refrigerated warehouses and 3PL cold stores. The cost is €200 for GCCA members, €350 for ECSLA members and €500 for non-GCCA/ECSLA members.

This report enables participants to benchmark their company performance with the European cold storage industry on all major operational issues. The report will not be published and will not be for sale. The final report will be sent to participants in August 2010.

Registration is open until mid-June.
