Climalife hits the brief with UK Customer Technical Event 2023

Climalife hosted its UK Customer Technical Event at Wyboston Lakes Resort on November 2, 2023. The event brought together industry experts, partners, and customers to explore the latest developments and trends in the HVAC and refrigerant sector.

The event began with a warm welcome from Allan Harper, managing director, Climalife UK, setting the stage for a day filled with informative discussions and networking opportunities. He announced that next year, the Technical Event would take place over a number of smaller regional events.

Neil Roberts from Climalife provided insights into the progress of the EU F-Gas legislation, emphasising that significant changes will not take effect until 2025. He also underscored that the phase-down targets only pertain to Annex 1 gases. Roberts also discussed the company's synergy products.

Mark Hughes of Chemours (pictured) spoke about Opteon and long-term sustainable refrigerant solutions., while Honeywell representatives showcased Solstice refrigerants, highlighting new opportunities for energy savings in food retail and sustainable HVAC solutions for commercial buildings.

François Pericat of Mobil Exxon discussed the evolution of refrigeration oils, emphasising the need for low miscibility with ammonia.

Neil Stewart from Yellow Jacket explored service tools for A2L systems, with a focus on refrigerant flammability levels and dispelling confusion between A2 and A3 refrigerant classifications, and Chris Chisman from TEV discussed the company's offerings for A2L split system applications, such as A2Lcabinetmatch.

Mentalist Paul Newton entertained and educated the audience with a blend of anecdotes and magic, sharing insights into security and cybersecurity, and the event culminated in a dinner geared towards networking.
