City Refrigeration puts down roots in Australia

GLASGOW-based facilities management firm City Refrigeration Holdings UK, has big plans to have a 'substantial presence' in Australia and has established a subsidiary called City Facilities Management (Aus) Pty Ltd.
The new subsidiary, based in Victoria, has already formed a partnership with the Australian retailer Coles supermarkets to take responsibility for servicing its refrigeration equipment.

Recent job advertisements in the Australian press describe how City Facilities Management is 'now recruiting a number of executives and specialists'.

Australian fridge maintenance firms including Frigrite were informed by Coles on May 15 that it had entered into a fridge servicing deal with City Facilities Management Aus Pty Ltd.

The arrangement between City Refrigeration's new subsidiary and Coles is due to start in August 2009.

City Refrigeration is 98% owned by its founders Willie Haughey and his wife Susan. It was established in 1985.
