Carrier purchases air purification firm StrionAir

CARRIER has bought StrionAir, a US manufacturer of air purification systems, for an undisclosed sum.
StrionAir (based in Louisville) developed and patented electronic filtration methods and incorporated them in products, including the whole-house air purifier which captures and kills airborne germs and mold.

StrionAir has been a supplier of the Carrier Corporation's residential Infinity Air Purifier since 2006 and has developed and sold more than 6,000 commercial systems.
