Carrier launches new fan coil lab

CARRIER has launched a new UK service which enables customers to test fan coil equipment prior to installation by building an exact replica in its laboratory.

Based near Lyon in France, Carrier's demonstration suite enables the building of a a full size model of a proposed project, including room size, furniture and window configurations. Carrier can then perform tests for customers with outside temperatures ranging from -20ºC to 40ºC, to ensure Carrier fan coils meet required design performances.

Claire Kruszka, fan coil product engineer said: 'From hotel rooms to offices and from residential homes to ships' cabins, the suite allows the testing of the air conditioning system under actual operating conditions. The Fan Coil Testing Laboratory is a unique service in Europe'.
