Carrier increases Chinese investment

CARRIER is reported to be investing up to $50m in research and development in China over the next three to five years.
The announcement follows the opening of a new global research and development centre in Shanghai, Carrier's 18th such facility around the world. The 20,000m2 centre cost over $20m and takes Carrier's total investment in China so far to $190m.

The American air conditioning manufacturer has also opened a new joint venture factory in Sichuan province to manufacture airside products.
