Carrier Corp agrees to sell Tadiran Appliances

CARRIER Corp has signed an agreement to sell Tadiran Appliances, its residential air-conditioning operations in Israel.
Carrier has agreed to sell the company to Crystal Consumer Products, a large consumer durables distributor in Israel.

Under the terms of the agreement, Tadiran Appliances will continue to distribute Carrier commercial products in Israel.

Tadiran Appliances has 2008 revenues of $100 million and 400 employees.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.
