US AIR conditioning giant Carrier has acquired the Longville Group, a leader in the rental of hvac equipment, temperature controls and pumps, mainly marketed under NuTemp, SLD Pumps and CRS brands. Longville employs 430 people and is headquartered in the UK with branches in the United States, France, Holland, Germany, Poland and Singapore.
'Longville brings with it sizeable assets and technical expertise in the rental business, together with strong customer relationships. The combination of Carrier and Longville will allow us to provide a more comprehensive range of products and services,' said Kelly Romano, president, Building Systems and Services, Carrier Corp. 'We are building on our existing and attractive rental service business by adding scale in the United States and by expanding into Europe.'

Longville CRS offer production cooling and air conditioning to many varied clients and industries. It was established in 1999 and rapidly expanded to become a global player in the specialist hire market. In the UK it operates a nationwide network of 42 depots.
