CAREL appointment will promote energy solutions to design sector

CAREL has appointed Michael Leach to its Climate Division with responsibility for Applied Products and Technical Solutions.

CAREL has appointed Michael Leach to its Climate Division with responsibility for Applied Products and Technical Solutions.

Mr Leach is a well-known face within the design sector of the energy solutions industry and with more than 30 years of experience, he will open up this sector for CAREL UK’s offering, which he feels has previously been undersold.

His most recent role was at ESG as a technical consultant promoting energy management. When the company shifted from a building controls supplier to an energy management company following a series of acquisitions, he was recruited to create enterprise value by repositioning the firm, clarifying its offering and bringing in new customers.

Mr Leach’s appointment at CAREL follows the arrival last year of Nigel Hillier as national sales manager – Climate Division, and the company says it is a clear indication of its commitment to the specification market.

He began his working life as an apprentice engineer at British Gas. During his career, which has included a commercial role at BP, he completed a diploma in marketing and a business management degree.
