F-GAS training provider Business Edge is set to open a new training centre to cope with demand for F-Gas compliance training and certification.
The company have applied for approval to run its ConstructionSkills-backed 'Refrigerant safe handling F-Gas compliance' course in a new facility at East Devon College in Tiverton.
Heading up the company's West of England programme is industry trainer, Martin Hook.
The new centre will work alongside the firm's headquarters' training site at Waterlooville, Hampshire and its Milton Keynes training centre.
The company says demand for refrigerant safe handling training, required under the F-Gas Regulation, is expanding rapidly.
Mike Creamer, managing director of Business Edge, said: 'The pace of activity has been growing since the beginning of the year. The recent announcement by the government that REFCOM is to be the administration body for companies under F-Gas legislation has highlighted the need for action. The race is now on to get engineers qualified, and we have already geared up to meet the need.'
