The president of the British Refrigeration Association, Ben Brown has been appointed southern region director for EasyAir Conditioning.
Brown will handle key accounts and head up the company's southern sales team, based at EasyAir's offices in Whyteleafe, south of Croydon.

Brown said: 'We have ambitious plans to grow the company and the team in the south, and will be taking on new sales staff over the coming year to maximise the growth potential.'

In Brown's previous role with fellow Sanyo distributor DYSK, he helped establish the new start-up company.

His experience in the refrigeration industry, as sales director at Dean & Wood, will help him expand the Blue Box product range in the UK market.

The Italian manufacturer recently opened a new £15m manufacturing facility, bringing its refrigeration and air conditioning operations together under one roof.

As BRA president, Ben implemented initiatives to raise industry standards. He helped create the BRA's code of practice on refrigerant leakage, to aid industry compliance with F-Gas Regulation requirements.
