Blygold PoluAl XT passes fire and smoke tests for railway applications

Blygold PoluAl XT has successfully passed a series of extreme fire and smoke tests to ensure safe and effective use in railway applications.

Blygold PoluAl XT is a protective coating for air-cooled heat exchangers. The product is used worldwide in all kind of environments to prevent corrosion of the vulnerable metals in heat exchangers.

The demand for heat exchanger protection in the transport industry is growing every year. Blygold Polual XT is used to protect truck and construction equipment radiators, but more and more, heat exchangers on trains are also being treated.

For applications of the product in railway vehicles, extreme safety rules apply, especially for underground carriages with sleeper cars where all used materials must comply with strict fire and smoke regulations.

To ensure that Blygold coatings can be safely used for  such sensitive applications, an intensive test procedure was initiated by Blygold International.

The conclusion of the 20 page test report is that Blygold PolUAl XT can be safely used for railway applications, and even with the highest risk applications (HL3) the product complies to all smoke and fire requirements.
