Bitzer UK strengthens technical support team with new appointment

Bitzer UK has appointed James Cowan as a new trainee technical support engineer. Cowan’s responsibilities span a wide range of technical functions, including system pricing, fault finding, handling detailed technical enquiries and assisting with spare parts – all of which ensure the company continues to meet ISO 9001 standards.

With a first-class degree in Physics from Aberystwyth University and a strong foundation in thermodynamics, Cowan has quickly adapted to Bitzer’s advanced compressor technologies. He is currently undertaking in-depth training through Bitzer’s global training network and will support the delivery and development of technical content for specialist compressor masterclasses.

“It’s been a fantastic start to my career at Bitzer UK,” said Cowan. “The training has been incredibly in-depth, and I’ve enjoyed getting hands-on with everything from compressor diagnostics to pricing and technical selections. I’m especially excited to be involved in developing training content as part of Bitzer’s global network. It’s great to be part of a company that puts such a strong focus on customer support and continuous improvement.”

In addition to supporting UK customers, Cowan is also helping to strengthen links between Bitzer UK and the manufacturer’s German headquarters, enhancing collaboration and more streamlined customer support across Europe.

“James has quickly proven himself to be a great asset to the team,” said Liam Davies, technical manager at Bitzer UK. “His confidence, customer rapport and technical understanding are outstanding, and his contribution to both technical delivery and international collaboration is already being felt.”

Working alongside Davies and Belinda Durrant, Cowan is part of a team that underpins Bitzer UK’s aftersales strategy, ensuring customers not only receive exceptional service but also have access to the knowledge and advice needed to get the most from their systems.
