BITZER UK has moved to new headquarters in Milton Keynes.
The new 2,700m2 facility will accommodate all Bitzer UK's production, warehousing and management functions as well as those of its former pack and pressure vessel production site at Grays, Essex.
The firm's decision to relocate its UK HQ to a site 1/2 a mile away from its former premises, was made at the end of November.
The relocation came about in double-quick time after the company's original plan to relocate its Grays facility to a building adjacent to the company's former HQ in Milton Keynes in Holdom Avenue fell through.
The new UK HQ enables the company to retain 100% of its capability with the added benefit of it being all under one roof.
'The new building is far and away better,' said UK md Mark Sowden. 'In fact it¹s palatial by comparison.'
The new facility gives the company double the floor space for compressor pack and vessel production allowing the implementation of process flow production techniques giving high levels of manufacturing efficiency.
'The new facility consolidates our production expertise on one site,' said Dave Paget, Bitzer UK's product manager for packs and vessels. 'This enables us to build upon and expand our successful UK and export refrigeration pack and pressure vessel business.'
The increased production area will also facilitate the manufacture of larger plant such as Bitzer combined compressor pack and condenser solutions. New training and conference facilities are also incorporated in the new HQ.
The new address is Advantage 1, Third Avenue, Denbigh West, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK1 1DR.
