B&ES Publications launches new functionality for SFG20 maintenance standard

B&ES Publications has launched a new customer facing website for SFG20 and from today (13 January), Service Model subscribers will also be able to access service timings as standard.

B&ES Publications has launched a new customer facing website for SFG20 and from today (13 January), Service Model subscribers will also be able to access service timings as standard.

SFG20 is described as the definitive standard for building maintenance. Bruce Kirton, B&ES Publications Chief Executive, said: “Since we first launched  in 1990 as SMG90, our SFG20 library of maintenance specifications for building engineering services has grown to become the industry recognised standard for planned maintenance, and an essential tool in tendering, service level re-modelling and auditing.”

Mr Kirton said that the website has been enhanced to make it easier for people to find out more about SFG20, the subscriber levels available and how it has helped other companies. It also enables users to arrange a free, no-obligation product demonstration.

He continued: “The addition of service timings for Service Model subscribers further strengthens the role SFG20 plays in tendering processes and will enable subscribers to keep closer control of costs by giving them a benchmark for the time taken to complete certain activities.”

“SFG20 remains the leading specification for maintenance standards. The breadth of activities covered is continually growing, and with our technical committee responsible for the on-going technical updating of SFG20, subscribers can be sure they are kept up-to-date with the latest legislation and industry best practise, enabling them to remain compliant cost-effectively,” Mr Kirton added.

The functionality of the new SFG20 website for Service Model subscribers has also been increased, with a streamlined layout making it easier to perform everyday tasks and managing core and customised schedules. In addition, Service Model users will be better able to organise their models, with new functionality which enables the creation of sub-folders, ideal for organising assets into categories, departmental divisions and aligning activities with service partner delivery.
