Awards night is best ever

NOW recognised as the main event on the industry's calendar, the ACR News Awards 2009 undelined its credentials with another glittering night at the International Motorcycle Museum, described by many attendees as 'the best ever'.
The 500 guests from all sectors of the acr industry got the full red carpet treatment on arrival, their attendance not escaping the notice of the paparazzi thronging the entrance.

There was a buzz of expectancy and anticipation at the pre-dinner champagne reception as guests swapped news and anecdotes from a day at the RAC exhibition.

On to dinner and the main event with the presentation ceremony conducted by comedian Hugh Dennis, star of My Hero, Mock the Week and The Mary Whitehouse Experience.

It was second time lucky for the Adcock Group. A runner-up in 2007, the Peterborough-based business sccoped the large contractor award this year. The award for contractors with a turnover under £10m went to Hampshire-based Cold Control Services.

A winner in 2007, Mitsubishi Electric won two further awards this year.

The Awards are sponsored by some of the leading names in the industry: Air Creation, FG Eurofred, Haier, Hawco, LG, Mitsubishi Heavy, Panasonic, Space Airconditioning and Vaillant.
