Arkema launches forane427a.com

ARKEMA has unveiled its website www.forane427a.com to promote Forane 427A, a 100% HFC which it says is one of the lowest GWP HCFC-22 retrofit solutions available on the market.
From December 31, 2009, European regulations require a ban on the use of HCFC-22 fluids for the maintenance of air-conditioning and refrigeration equipment.

Forane 427A refrigerant fluid is used as an alternative to extend the life of existing installations, while complying with current regulations.

Through its latest website www.forane427a.com, Arkema provides end-users in Europe with technical and environmental information on Forane® 427A to assist them with the retrofitting of their refrigeration equipment.

The site is also intended for maintenance contractors as it explains the regulatory data regarding the ban on HCFC-22.

Visitors to the website will also be able to contact Arkema via an email address, and all enquiries will be answered within 24hrs.

In the US, Forane® 427A has just been granted « Significant New Alternatives Policy » (SNAP) approval by the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) for use immediately in existing refrigeration installations as a substitute to HCFC-22, due to be banned gradually from the North-American market from 2010.

A global chemical player, Arkema has research centers in France, the US and Japan.
