Arctic Circle wins IET award

Arctic Circle has won an award for its Arctic Optimiser.

The Arctic Optimiser won the Energy category at the Institute of Engineering & Technology’s Innovation Awards. The Energy category was one of the most highly contested categories with entries from all over the world and five finalists from three different countries.

The Arctic Optimiser is a thermodynamic device which improves the performance and the efficiency of refrigeration systems. It is a low cost, maintenance free (fit and forget) system which requires no additional parasitic power input. The Arctic Optimiser can be incorporated into new systems or retrofitted to existing refrigeration systems.

This year’s IET Innovation Awards were held at The Brewery in London on 16th November. The awards celebrate the very best innovations from both industry and academia, sharing landmark work and developments taking place across many important areas of science, engineering and technology. There are 15 categories within the awards spanning the length, breadth and depth of engineering and each of them is judged by a panel of individual, impartial experts in each field that our categories cover.
