AMP raises over £7,000 in charity bike ride

A team from AMP, the Toshiba air conditioning distributor, took part in this year’s London to Brighton charity cycle ride and raised more than £7,000 for the British Heart Foundation.

A team from AMP, the Toshiba air conditioning distributor, took part in this year’s London to Brighton charity cycle ride and raised more than £7,000 for the British Heart Foundation.

The 30-strong AMP Dream Team joined around 28,000 cyclists who took part in the 54-mile event. Sponsored by Toshiba, the team included staff, family members, customers and suppliers’ representatives.

AMP’s participation was part of the company’s 25th anniversary celebrations, and just one of the activities the company is undertaking during the year to mark its Jubilee milestone.

AMP director, Polly McConachie, said: “People were extremely generous and we beat our initial fundraising target of £5,000, which looked quite a challenge at the outset. However, you can rest assured that if you give the AMP team a target they will beat it!”

The BHF London to Brighton bike ride is the longest established and best supported event of its kind in the world, starting at Clapham Common in South London and ending on Brighton’s seafront.
