Airzone strengthens UK expansion with new markets role

Airzone has appointed Sophie Decorte as its New Markets UK & EU Business Development Coordinator, a newly created role designed to support the company’s expansion across key European territories.

In her new position, Decorte will lead Airzone’s monitoring and interpretation of major EU and UK policy developments, including EcoDesign requirements, F-Gas regulations, Energy Performance of Buildings legislation, and Eurovent standards. She will also engage with leading European industry associations to ensure Airzone remains ahead of technical, regulatory and market shifts.

Alongside regulatory insight, Decorte will work closely with energy providers, property stakeholders and HVAC manufacturers to gather market intelligence, influence sector developments, and guide Airzone’s commercial strategy across the UK and wider European region.

Airzone’s next phase of growth will prioritise the UK and Germany, building on its established presence in Spain and France. In the UK, strong retrofit demand, a rapidly maturing heat pump market, and government-backed initiatives such as the Boiler Upgrade Scheme and national insulation programmes are accelerating the shift toward electrification and smart energy management—areas closely aligned with Airzone’s integration and control technologies.

Decorte said: “Sustainability and energy efficiency targets, along with evolving regulatory requirements, are no longer secondary drivers—they are fundamentally reshaping HVAC demand across the UK and the wider European market. With HVAC accounting for up to 50% of a building’s total energy use, the sector represents a significant opportunity to reduce carbon emissions, improve efficiency, and meet increasingly stringent EU and UK energy regulations.”

Fernando de la Cruz Quintanilla, New Markets EMEA Director at Airzone, added: “Sophie’s role will bridge the gap between regulatory insight and commercial expansion, supporting our long-term focus on sustainable growth, technological leadership, and strengthening our market position across the UK and wider European markets.

“This expertise is particularly important in the UK, which is shifting from a heavily import-reliant market towards a more energy-efficient, low-carbon, and IoT-enabled energy ecosystem. As the energy and HVAC landscape evolves, companies in this space cannot afford to fall behind regulatory and incentive developments.”
