Airedale four recall their 80 years in the industry
Northern service engineer Mark Saville has worked for Airedale for 24 years but first joined the company as an electrician. Airedale funded his study at night school for a City & Guilds two in refrigeration and nine years later he moved into product testing.

Mark said 'There have been many technical advances at Airedale while I have been here, particularly on the controls side with in-built microprocessors. Compressors are more efficient. Procedures for handling and controlling refrigerants were already in place well before the F-gas regulation became law. H&S is a lot more stringent too.'

After 16 years in the navy as an engineer working on air conditioning and chillers, Midlands service engineer Bryan Marshall went on to form part of a supermarket in-house refrigeration team. He has also worked as a contractor servicing supermarkets.

Southern area service engineer Nick White has been in the service industry for 30 years. He began his career as an apprentice with a frozen food retailer.Steve Rothwell from Manchester was apprenticed with another leading air conditioning manufacturer but decided after 14 years in the service industry that he wanted to return to working for a manufacturer.

Airedale service & maintenance manager Adrian Trevelyan said 'We believe in giving our engineers the respect and quality of standards that we would expect from them. We build on their experience with progressive training. They work only on Airedale units or on other manufacturers' units on our sites.'
