Air Creation is new Mitsibishi distributor

IN A surprise move, air conditioning manufacturer Mitsubishi Electric has appointed a new distributor.
After a number of years taking a more direct approach to the market, the UK-based Japanese air conditioning supplier has appointed Air Creation, a new company formed by Dean & Wood's parent Beijer Ref, as distributor for a wide range of its products.

Headed by Nick Kilner, the new company will concentrate predominantly on Mitsubishi's VRF range, but also sell split systems.

Under a five-year rolling programme agreed with Mitsubishi Electric, Air Creation will work in close partnership with sister company Dean & Wood.

'The new company will be able to draw on the massive experience, depth of knowledge and technical support of the D&W sales force while, at the same time, remaining as an autonomous business,' said Nick Kilner.

'This means that Air Creation has the long-term commitment and significant financial backing of an established, well-respected organisation', he added.

Air Creation's customers will benefit from easy access to D&W's nationwide distribution network and service, as well as dedicated technical support and back-up.

Mr Kilner has nineteen years' experience in the air conditioning manufacturing, distribution and contracting sectors.

He said: 'I am very excited about the prospect of Air Creation entering this specialist area of the air conditioning market. We are poised with many VRF enquiries in some very specific target areas. With the backing of market-leading products, reliable technical expertise and excellent logistics services, I am looking forward to the challenge ahead.'
