Air conditioning accessories unveils Sanyo heatpump training
[firstParagraph]
Sanyo distributor Air Conditioning Accessories has launched training for the company's carbon dioxide-based heatpump technology.
Appointed a Sanyo distributor earlier this year, the firm has invested in a training facility at its Leeds premises to teach installers about Sanyo's ECO heat pump heating system.
The training programme supports the national roll-out of SANYO's C02 ECO system, launched earlier this year.
Installers on the one-day course receive training in the theoretical and design aspects of working with the heat pump system. Engineers who complete the course become Approved Sanyo Installers for C02 heat pumps, and may apply for relevant government grants covering the technology.
Richard Stewart, who heads the Leeds branch, said: 'Any competent refrigeration and air conditioning installer will have no problem installing or maintaining the system. However, the course is an essential prerequisite as it highlights the slightly unusual operating characteristics of carbon dioxide, which differ in some respects to conventional refrigerant-based systems.'
In total, five training centres across the UK now offer CO2 heat pump training.
Courses are also held at Sanyo headquarters in South London, Oceanair Distribution in Bristol, Easy Air Conditioning in Birmingham, and ICG in Stockport. For details about courses in your area call 0845 612 6364.
