Product costs are the top concern of exhibitors at the AHR Expo, (America's major HVACR show) held in New York from January 22-24 but they are optimistic about growth in 2008.
Views gathered by the ASHRAE journal from 1,300 exhibiters at the 2008 Expo, indicated that 74% were most concerned about product costs, while 64% said energy efficiency, 60% said maintainability and 52% said sustainability.

'The responses show that both attendees and exhibitors are optimistic about business prospects in the coming year,' said Fred Turner, ASHRAE Journal editor.
'The industry feels good about the US market, about expanded presence outside the US and about growth in most market segments.'

The event is sponsored by ASHRAE and the Air-Conditioning, Heating and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI) and is being held in conjunction with ASHRAE's 2008 winter meeting.

More than 1,800 exhibiting firms mostly from the US will attend the expo of which 385 exhibitors will represent 39 other countries.
