Advisory board to oversee F-gas best practice

REFCOM has appointed an advisory committee of leading industry figures to oversee the activity of F-gas certification and best practice in handling refrigerants, Refcom has established an advisory committee comprising of leading industry figures to supervise both its mandatory and voluntary F-gas certification schemes.

Including members of ACRIB and BISRA, as well as contractors and end users, the committee will advise on aspects of scheme management and audit matters, ratify all certificates issued, keep accreditation requirements under review, and review that the scheme's structure continues to meet the requirements of the 2009 F-gas Regulations.

'Setting up the advisory committee will ensure Refcom has the broad industry representation to achieve what the industry wants and needs from a certification scheme,' said Refcom's chief executive Bruce Kirton.

The advisory board comprises David Barlow (Refcom), Stephen Crocker (Refcom), Rachel Davidson (Welplan), Scott Gleed (Ceilite), Gareth Keller (HVCA), Bruce Kirton (Welplan), Barry Lyons (ACRIB), Mike Nankivell (Space Air), Miriam Rodway (ACRIB) Mike Smith (BSRIA) and Joe Tavender (British Telecom).
