Advanced Engineering seals deal with Fuchs

Fuchs, the lubricants maker, has hooked up with AC supplier Advanced Engineering to launch its product into the UK market.

Fuchs will launch its range of compressor lubricants in the UK with the help of its newly appointed UK distributor.

Basingstoke's Advanced Engineering is a European supplier of air conditioning maintenance and cleaning products and says the UK will now have access to the world’s only full range of compressor oils approved for CO2 applications.

Richard Rogers, Fuchs product manager, said: “CO2 is becoming increasingly important worldwide as a non-flammable, non-toxic, environmentally friendly refrigerant. However, its high pressure ratio makes it dissolve in traditional compressor oils, harming bearings and reducing thermal stability'.

Rogers said: “We have therefore purposefully designed a unique range of fully synthetic lubricants, that have been approved by all the major manufacturers for safe use with CO2 in transcritical and subcritical conditions.”

He added: “We rarely enter into distribution partnerships, because we want to be absolutely sure that every product offers something new and genuinely important to the ACR engineer. With the coming growth in CO2 applications, the time is absolutely right to get these oils onto the shelves, ready for engineers to use'.
