ACRIB chairman joins CG Refrigeration

C G REFRIGERATION, the Hereford-based refrigeration and air-conditioning contractor, has appointed ACRIB chairman Graham Garner as non-executive director to develop and expand the company.
Garner is about to stand down as chairman of ACRIB and has chosen to join the contracting firm, having spent more than 30 years in the European refrigeration contracting industry.

During his career, Garner has been the MD of Westward Refrigeration, Radford Retail Systems and Carrier Refrigeration.

Garner said 'I have been keen to find a high quality contracting company that I could work with for sometime. I have found it, and look forward to the challenge'.

CG Refrigeration has a turnover of more than £6 million, with 40 employees, (of which 32 are skilled engineers and electricians).

The firm offers design, project management, installation and commissioning across the UK and was first established 17 years ago by Jim Gillespie.

Jim Gillespie from CGR said 'I worked with Graham at Westward Refrigeration in the 80’s. So I am very pleased to have him on board, to help us develop our future expansion. We have a sound base to build on, having installed for every major food retailer in the UK. If not under our name. We are now ready to move forward.'
