ACR Show visitors undaunted by weather conditions
[firstParagraph]
Despite extreme weather conditions affecting many parts of the country, the ACR Show continued to attract a high level of visitors, with the organisers reporting another strong attendance on the second day of the show.
Jan Thorpe, event director, said: 'Visitors have been undaunted and we have had packed aisles, stands and seminar theatres throughout the day.'
She added: 'It says a lot about the level of interest and commitment on the part of the industry and end users.'
The general buzz at the show was heightened by high profile seminars, featuring sessions hosted by the B&ES Association on changes in key legislation.
'The Greening of the Supermarkets' seminar drew a large audience to hear the latest technical developments for High Street operators.
It included presentations on innovations in LED lighting, cascade refrigeration systems and a new approach to defrosting which harnesses phase-change materials.
The buzz was reflected among exhibitors. John Pritchard of Johnson Controls said: 'It has been a very good show for us. We have had extremely good conversations with genuine people and new potential customers. The quality has been excellent.'
The last day of the show is today (13 February).
