ACR Show visitors invited to IoR training sessions

Visitors to The ACR Show  (16-18 February, NEC, Birmingham) are invited to take part in one or more of the Institute of Refrigeration’s short training 'taster' sessions.

IoR secretary Miriam Rodway said: “It’s an opportunity to learn something new, refresh your skills and ask those awkward questions!”

The IoR will also be giving out certificates of continuing professional development, for those who take the optional evaluations.

Each session will last about 30 minutes and there will be membership discounts for any non-members who join on the day.

IoR members and service engineers can reserve their place in advance by contacting the Institute of Refrigeration direct. Places are strictly limited to 10 people per session. Sign up and walk-in places will be offered on the day if seats are still available.

Event manager, Karena Cooper said: “In light of concerns about a future skills shortage in the HVACR industries, training and careers is a key theme for The ACR Show 2016 and we are delighted to have the IoR’s support. These sessions are sure to fill up very fast - I would recommend pre-registering for The ACR Show and contacting the IoR to book as soon as possible.”

The Institute of Refrigeration will also be holding its Annual Conference at The ACR Show on Thursday 18 February in the Refrigeration & Cooling Theatre. The Conference, Emissions, Energy and Eco-design, will explore how energy and emission saving in component and system design are being achieved. The programme will help re-evaluate current strategies and support those who want to develop improved approaches to environmental challenges.
