Registration is now open for the UK’s only dedicated exhibition for the refrigeration, air conditioning, ventilation, heating and heat pump sectors, taking place at the NEC, Birmingham from 16-18 February 2016.

Visitors are invited to boost their skills and knowledge in the Refrigeration & Cooling Theatre, sponsored by Chemours; the Air Conditioning & Heat Pump Theatre, sponsored by Klima-Therm and the Training & Careers Theatre, sponsored by Toshiba.

Speaking at The ACR Show for the first time, the Association of European Component Manufacturers (ASERCOM) will discuss the use of refrigeration frequency inverters to save energy and improve cooling quality in refrigeration and air conditioning.

From Anti-Fog Technology talking ‘Pain in the frozen food aisle’ to Chemours’ choice topic ‘Waiting in the Wings – low GWP mildly flammable blends for the near future,’ the wide variety of talks in this theatre make it a not to be missed programme.

Members of the Institute of Refrigeration IOR will converge on the Refrigeration & Cooling Theatre on Thursday 18 February for their annual conference. “Emissions, Energy and Eco-design” and will explore how energy and emission saving in component and system design are being achieved.

Commenting on the decision to sponsor the Refrigeration & Cooling Theatre, Mark Hughes, business development manager for Chemours said the company viewed The ACR Show as very important one year into the F-Gas phase down. He said, “It’s an opportunity for us to help the ACR industry understand the challenges it is facing”.

David Dunn, general manager of Toshiba Air Conditioning, said: “Toshiba is delighted to be sponsoring the Training and Careers feature at the 2016 event. Training is key to the industry’s future, and underpins the high quality, high efficiency projects required by end users, building occupants and the environment.”

Air Conditioning & Heat Pump Theatre

Thomas Nowak, secretary general of the European Heat Pump Association is speaking at The ACR Show for the first time in 2016. Thomas will discuss the EU heat pump markets and the need for government support to unleash the technologies' full potential.

There will also be talks from the HPA and B&ES, while Mike Nankivell will give an F-Gas regulation update on behalf of ACRIB.

In what is set to be a huge draw for visitors, Fujitsu will look at ‘Training for the 21st Century’; Dr Andy Lewry, principle consultant at BRE will discuss bridging the performance gap; Tim Boxall, technical sales support manager for Klima-Therm will talk about cooling from light and the future of VRF.
