AB Systems, the materials handling and cooling specialist, says that it now has the experience and skillset to proficiently install, maintain and service materials handling equipment from all OEMs.
As a result, plastics manufacturers, many of whom have historically been limited to one materials handling supplier for the provision of brand-specific technical services, will now be able to take advantage of the company’s wide-ranging expertise and competitive service, while resting assured of complete business continuity.
The rise in the company’s servicing capabilities follows its recent amalgamation with independent contractor, Sterling Ancillary Services, a move that Jeff Day, managing director of AB Systems, describes as bringing unrivalled engineering expertise to his team.
He said: “AB Systems has always had highly skilled engineers who are well practiced in handling equipment from a wide range of manufacturers, however, the company’s merger with Sterling Ancillary Services has expanded our team, perfectly complementing our existing skill base. AB Systems now offers a team of engineers experienced in installing and servicing equipment from materials handling manufacturers across the board.”
Prior to the merger, Sterling Ancillary Services had been the favoured contractor among materials handling and cooling suppliers, performing technical installations and fulfilling maintenance contracts for many of the industry’s biggest names over the course of three decades.
Mr Day believes that AB Systems’ increased capabilities have exciting implications for the industry at large: “For a long time, certain materials handling suppliers have had a monopoly on brand-specific technical services. Now, plastics manufacturers will have a greater freedom of choice when it comes to engaging a supplier – something that will certainly create a more competitive environment, ultimately benefitting the client,” he explained.
