Cold Store Rentals is celebrating a successful first year in business.
Founder and director, Steve Prior (pictured right), said: “We are pleased to have ended our first year trading on an extremely positive note, and we are most grateful to our customers and suppliers for their support.
“During this first year we have provided long term rental solutions to a varied customer base, including small start-up food companies, pubs and restaurants, pet food providers, food wholesalers, pharmaceutical companies, and freight forwarders.”
Cold Store Rentals works alongside established sister companies Ice House Hire and Kool Trailers to give customers a solution from a one day rental to five plus years.
Tom Scott (pictured below), who is shareholder and co-director of Cold Store Rentals and its sister-companies, has been providing event hire cold rooms to prestigious projects such as Buckingham Palace and Royal Ascot for the past eight years. He joined forces with Steve to create Cold Store Rentals in order to broaden capability within the sector.
He said: “We have always purchased Viessmann cold rooms for their durability and quality, so when we learnt of Cold Store Rental’s offering we took the opportunity to combine our short term trailer business with Ice House Hire, and introduce a tailor-made long term cold store solution for our customers. Steve has been in the cold store rental industry for the past 28 years and the combination of our existing set up, and that of Cold Store Rentals is a unique opportunity.”
“We are delighted with the first year’s progress. In Cold Store Rental’s first year of trading we have accomplished a lot, and are already working with some well-respected companies such as Phoenix Healthcare, Henkel, and Bakkavor, amongst others, and are going from strength to strength.”
He added: “We are now looking to expand our sales force to support our customers and will be welcoming Steve Hobbs to the team in September.”
Cold Store Rentals will be exhibiting at the TCS&D show in Peterborough on the 16 and 17 September, showcasing its modular cold rooms and its work with Kool Trailers.
