New Airedale facility will cut lead times for Saudi customers

Airedale will provide Saudi Temco with end-of-line and customer witness testing capabilities, substantially reducing the delivery lead times of fully tested, fully configured PAC units destined for KSA data centres.

Airedale International has opened a new storage and testing facility in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) with its local business partner, Saudi Temco.

The new plant will allow extensive stocks of Airedale EasiCool (6-64kW) and SmartCool (11-233kW) precision air conditioning (PAC) systems in a wide range of upflow and downflow configurations using direct expansion (DX) or dual fluid variants with free cooling capability, or the latest, award-winning dedicated chilled water (CW) unitsto suit local data centre applications.

Airedale will provide Saudi Temco with end-of-line and customer witness testing capabilities, substantially reducing the delivery lead times of fully tested, fully configured PAC units destined for KSA data centres.

Commercial director, Mark Viner (pictured right), said: “Their new facility represents another significant step forward in our growth plans, bringing fully configured systems closer to the market and providing customers with high performance precision products on much shorter lead times.”

The opening of its branch office in the Dubai Airport Freezone in February 2014 has seen Airedale consolidate its position in the Middle East with a large number of high profile projects now underway in the region, including the Dubai International Airport expansion and Riyadh’s King Abdullah Financial District project, along with early stage design work carried out on many other significant projects that are yet to begin. The size and scale of these schemes demonstrates the strong demand for British manufactured goods in the Middle East and will see Airedale significantly expand its share in the region over the next three years.

To support business partners and clients in the Middle East, Airedale has also rolled out an extensive partner training programme. Mark Viner said: “We are committed to sharing knowledge and best practice in product selection and cooling system design in order to ensure customers get the best out of their applications in terms of energy efficiency and resilience.”

The Saudi facility will form the blueprint for Airedale’s expansion plans throughout the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries in the next three to five years.

Saudi Temco’s general manager, Sameer Qazaqui, said: “High quality and energy efficiency are areas of renewed importance in Saudi Arabia, and with Airedale’s recent product and service initiatives I look forward to seeing the results of taking our already successful relationship to the next level.”
