FIFTEEN EU member states say they will have an F-Gas certification system running by the July 4 deadline.
EU member states must ensure that by July 4, 2009 only companies with certified technicians can purchase fluorinated-gases for refrigeration, air conditioning and heat pump installations.

Out of 20 member states who shared information with EPEE, (the European Partnership for Energy and the Environment), 15 said they will have a certification system running as of July 4.

The national governments who say they will have a certification scheme in place include the UK, Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Denmark, Germany, France, Estonia, Finland, Lithuania and Slovenia.

As part of the survey, EPEE emailed questions to the governments of 27 member states. Its survey was completed a few days ago.
