Trane City

The future for heating is electric! The New RTSF (CITY) from Trane gives a unique opportunity to move to renewable energy heating all with using HFO R1234ze

The City is the latest in market-leading water-cooled chillers/heat pumps to be added to the Ecowise portfolio from Ingersoll Rand. Complete with R1234ze refrigerant only - shows Trane's commitment to the global phase down. Equipped with a single "heavy-duty" screw compressor, patented by Trane and following on from years of success, it is also inverter driven for continuous capacity control. The City was designed just as the name says - for tight buildings and restricted spaces. Huge versatility in its application offering for comfort, process cooling and heating!

The 3 applications in which the City can be used in are:

Comfort - Evaporator leaving water temperature from 5 to 30 degC and Condenser leaving water temperature from 10 to 50degC in comfort the efficiency is optimized for moderate comfort applications in cooling or heating. Also for industrial process applications at positive temperatures.

Process - Evaporator leaving water temperature from -12 to 5degC and Condenser leaving water temperature from 10 to 80 degC! Efficiency optimized for freezing industrial applications.

Booster - Evaporator leaving water temperature from 5 to 30degC and Condenser leaving water temperature from 50 to 80 degC with operation and efficiency optimized to deliver high temperature hot water. In Booster mode is where the City really shows off with its unique opportunity to move to renewable energy. Geothermal heating can be achieved from ground source to deliver temperatures up to 80degC. Heat recovery cascade with using the rejected heat from a water-cooled chiller to pre-heat the City and deliver up to 80degC water. Cascade with air to water heat pump or 4-pipe and again utilizing the rejected heat, the City can provide up to 80degC water.
