REFCO celebrates its 51-year anniversary with global customers

?To mark 51 years of its history, REFCO invited its sales partners to Switzerland for a two-day anniversary event. Founded in 1972, REFCO has developed into a globally-recognised manufacturer of high-quality tools for professional refrigeration and air conditioning technicians. Today, the company employs around 70 people at its Hitzkirch site and exports its high-quality tools to over 120 countries.

The REFCO crew were on hand to give guests a warm welcome at Zurich airport. A leisurely cruise on Lake Zurich kicked off the two-day festivities. In the evening, the historic guild house spoiled guests with traditional Swiss cuisine. The next morning, a leisurely coach ride took guests from Zurich to Hitzkirch in central Switzerland to REFCO's company headquarters.

A guided tour of WIKA Switzerland and REFCO provided an insight into the production and manufacturing of pressure gauges, manifolds, charging hoses and condensate pumps, while REFCO employees demonstrated their work processes.

Visitors were then given exclusive insights into the development of REFCO’s new wireless temperature clamp, REFCLAMP, which measures both pipe and air temperature as well as humidity in mobile and stationary refrigeration systems and heat pumps. In combination with the REFMATE digital manifold and the REFMESH app, the REFCLAMP contributes to optimal adjustment of the system.

After the numerous insights behind the scenes of REFCO's product ranges, the guests enjoyed delicacies from the grill at the clubhouse of the local soccer club where chief executive Benno Brinlinger treated guests and colleagues to delicious ice cream. To commemorate the anniversary event, a group photo was taken – from above using a drone.

On Friday evening, it was back to Zurich where the highlight of the anniversary celebrations took place. After an aperitif, the party was held in a trendy, glass-walled restaurant in a former shipbuilding hall. In this unique atmosphere, the excellent food tasted even better.

Comedian Michael Elsener led the evening’s entertainment in a humorous and charming manner and ensured an exuberant mood amongst the 85 guests. A photo box with various props made the mood barometer rise further.

Brinlinger took the opportunity to bid farewell to his predecessor, Manfred P Ulrich, and thanked him for his tireless efforts over the past 27 years.

It was two unforgettable days full of interesting conversations, exuberance, fun and culinary highlights - a toast to long-standing, cooperative business relationships and personal exchange.
