Marstair Cellar Cooler For Bar At Luton Town Football Club

Patrons of the Nick Owen Bar at Luton Town Football Club can enjoy Charles Wells beers maintained in a properly conditioned cellar following the installation of a CK 30 CellarKing cellar cooler manufactured by Marstair Ltd.

The unit was supplied by Somerset-based distributor Heronhill Air Conditioning, and installed by AC Mechanical Services Ltd, a consistent winner of Marstair’s tradelink Dealer of the Year award.

David Ludlam, technical services manager of the Bedford-based Charles Wells brewery, said: “We supply beer to all the bars at Luton Town’s Kenilworth Road stadium, and we also supply and maintain the Marstair CellarKing on a contract basis through AC Mechanical Services Ltd.

“The vast majority of cellar cooler installations in bars we supply are Marstair units – Marstair is our only approved supplier.

“We’ve used a lot of installers but have found we get an excellent service from AC Mechanical Services, with whom we have developed a good working relationship over the last four years,” added Mr Ludlam.

The Marstair CellarKing is a split system cellar cooler designed to provide consistent cellar temperature control with economy, ease of maintenance, flexible positioning, hygiene, safety and reliability.

It is such features that the Nick Owen bar at Luton Town is now benefiting from, with its brewery-specification heat exchanger achieving air throws of up to ten metres.

The CK30 is linked to a dedicated CKC20 low-noise, weatherproof outdoor condensing unit incorporating a low pressure switch, HP switch and low ambient start.
