Daikin UK extends Heating Portfolio: UFH and Gas Solar Unit

Daikin UK is pleased to announce the launch of the UFH and Gas Solar Unit, available to order from September 1st. These new additions complement Daikin’s exiting range of heating and renewable systems, to deliver highly efficient and fully integrated solutions that maximize the use of renewable heat around us.

Underfloor Heating

The ROTEX Underfloor heating system provides the perfect partner for the Daikin Altherma range of heat pumps. This system increases the efficiency (COP) of the heat pump and allows optimal individual room design, with easy and variable temperature control.

Features and Benefits

Works extremely well with low temp heat pumps to maxmise COP

Provides a room heat profile close to the ideal heat profile - warm feet

Avoids need for large and unsightly radiators

Adds marketing value to the property

Very popular with developers/end users

Virtually maintenance free

Great for tiled and modern floor finishes

Product Overview

Underfloor systems are made up of 4 main components:

1. Pipes

Monopex PEX-b:

Diameters 14-20mm. Aluminium version available too.

Very flexible and ideal for UFH applications.

System 70 (Duo double walled pipes)

Two layers: (1) inner PEX-B pipe and (2) outer PE pipe which is separated by an air gap

Ideal for mixed radiator / UFH systems and avoids need for complex mixers.

2. System pipe fixing plates

Rotex offers five different types of extruded polystyrene sheets

Each has individual thermal, point loading and acoustic performance

Pipe spacing and runs can be accommodated precisely and easily for the installer

3. Manifolds: the heart of the UFH system

Manufactured from high density polypropylene.

Manifolds are ordered for 2 – 14 UFH loops

Complete with pressure gauge, temperature gauges, isolating valves, air vents and flow meters.

4. Controls

Full range of room thermostats and individual room controls.

Gas Solar Unit

The ROTEX Gas Solar Unit is a solar supported thermal store with integrated condensing gas boiler back-up It includes a gas condensing boiler, with hot water and solar storage tank all in one for straightforward and cost effective installation. It offers a highly efficient heating and hot water solution.

Features & Benefits

Single unit including solar HW / CH and gas boiler back-up

Fully pre-assembled for hassle free installation

Instant mains-pressure DHW

Efficient and high performing system with low running costs

Low carbon emissions through modulating condensing technology

Drain back (glycol free) solar circuit

Built in weather compensation

Product Line up: 4 models
