Koura aspires to have a positive impact on the world and the rebrand mirrors the company’s long-term commitment to sustainability and the environment, its heritage, people, communities, safety and health.
The company is investing significantly across its global operations to streamline its offerings, and is developing lower GWP products across its range, with innovation, performance and sustainability a main focus. As an example of its ongoing drive to meet and exceed sustainability targets and current and future environmental regulations, the company developed a refrigerant recycling program in Japan in 2018.
Sarah Hughes, commercial director at Koura, said: “Building on our 60-year heritage, we will continue to grow the company by exploring new opportunities, whilst ensuring we are dedicated to the values and commitments that shape our global brand.
“We understand the importance of sharing our insight and knowledge with the next generation who will continue to innovate and lead the industry for years to come. Our educational programme aims to spark excitement and passion with pupils in our local communities, whilst encourage aspiring young women to enter the fields of science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
“Our new name has its roots in the word 'courage' and reflects our identity as a company that takes a courageous approach to the safety and health of our people and the environments and communities where we operate, to innovation and to advancing life around the world.”
Koura has also invested significantly across its global operations to streamline its offering, whilst in the UK the company is also producing lower GWP products across its range, with innovation and sustainability a main focus.
