J & E Hall extends pipe run on JCC cellar cooler range

J & E Hall has extended the pipe run on its popular JCC cellar cooler range.

Installers now have up to 25 metres of pipe run between the indoor and outdoor units. This follows testing work on the robust cellar coolers by J & E Hall at its factory which showed that these plug and play units had more than enough capacity to handle longer pipe runs without any efficiency or operating concerns.

J & E Hall product support manager Andy Wells said: “Our customers wanted it – especially those working in city and town centres. There are sometimes restrictions on siting of equipment and the distance between the indoor and outdoor units can be lengthy. Ideally you want to keep pipe runs as short as possible but there are occasions when you simply cannot site the outdoor unit near the indoor unit.

“We listened to what our customers had to say, realised it would make a real difference and embarked upon a programme of testing. The result is that there is now much more scope on the pipe runs and in real terms this can make the job considerably easier for the installer.”

There are four models in the JCC range which run at capacities between 2.87 – 5.82kW. The units, which have six fins per inch brewery specification evaporator coil, operate on refrigerant R410A.

JCC cellar coolers are sold pre-charged with refrigerant for pipe runs up to 7.6m and offer a range of benefits to the installer:

  • up to 25m pipe run capability
  • ease of installation
  • three-year manufacturer's warranty
  • low noise
  • capacity to operate down to 4°C
  • accurate electronic temperature control as standard

The cost-effective and reliable JCC cellar coolers are designed to maintain perfect temperatures for beer and wine cellars. The ability of the electronic controller to allow the systems to operate at room temperatures down to 4°C can also prolong the life of fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, dairy products and other items requiring a temperature sensitive environment.
