Nominations for the J&E Hall Gold must be submitted by 15 October.
The award is open to individuals or teams with recent outstanding achievements in one or more of the following areas:
- Practical applications of innovative designs
- Projects which have made an original contribution to the field
- Systems which demonstrate substantial potential and evidence that they will be completed successfully
- Outstanding and significant work in a new or unusual area
The award is designed to encourage progress rather than acknowledge past achievement, and the winner will join a select list of recipients that includes refrigeration greats such as Professor Gustav Lorentzen, Professor P. Ole Fanger, Professor Don Cleland, Mr Ron Conry, Professor Pega Hrnjak and Eckhard Groll.
The presentation will take place at the 119th Institute of Refrigeration Annual Dinner in London, UK and the winner will receive a gold medal to hold for one year, a silver replica to keep and a cash award of £5,000.
The deadline for nominations is 15 October 2018.
