Members of both organisations will have access to an increased range of technical publications, news and events, to help improve knowledge and standards in refrigeration and air conditioning practice.
PHVACR members will also have the opportunity to access IOR’s extensive library of online refrigeration technical information, while PHVACR is keen to encourage IOR member participation in its Building Services Expo and Conference in Karachi in 2019.
The memorandum of understanding has been ratified by both organisations, representatives of whom continue to meet to discuss opportunities for continued collaboration at international meetings and events.
IOR president, Stephen Gill, said: “I am delighted to be launching this co-operative agreement with our friends and colleagues in Pakistan at PHVACR. By collaborating together, we will make the best use of the wealth of technical information the IOR can share, especially on the rapidly changing world of refrigeration safe practice, energy efficiency and refrigerants. I am equally pleased that PHVACR is so enthusiastic about sharing their events and activities with IOR members and look forward to working with them more closely. This is an exciting development.”
Azim Ashraf, president of PHVACR, added: “The signing of a memorandum of understanding between the two organisations is a good omen for collective working. It is hoped that members may receive the benefits while availing the opportunity of access and interaction with each other’s rich experience, technical knowledge, research and development in the field of HVACR.”
