ECEX promotes Andrews to lead mechanical manager

ECEX has strengthened its mechanical engineering (M&E) division with the appointment of Nathan Andrews, now the lead mechanical manager at the multi-specialist contractor.

In his new role, Mr Andrews heads-up the arm of the business responsible for all aspects of m&e relating to HVAC - from small remedial works to full refurbishment of systems, including pipe replacement, lagging and insulation, ductwork cleaning and plate heat exchanger installation.

Mr Andrews joined ECEX at end of January as mechanical contract manager and was promoted soon after to lead the m&e services department.

His previous roles as electrical & mechanical and F-gas engineers include senior ventilation technician at the renowned John Radcliffe (JR) Hospital in Oxford in which he held multiple ‘Authorised Person' roles under various disciplines.

Mr Andrews said: 'ECEX was a contractor that I worked with while working at the JR and I was particularly impressed by the company's exceptionally high standard of work and professionalism, so I was pleased to be asked to join the business.

'Indeed, this appointment has given me a fantastic opportunity to work for a first-rate, independent organisation that is clearly a dynamic force in the HVAC sector.'

ECEX director Paul Leese added: 'We are delighted to welcome Nathan on-board in a crucial role to ECEX. With his quality work standards, great enthusiasm, and determination to excel at the highest level, I'm confident he'll make a valuable addition to the ECEX team, which continues to go from strength to strength.'

Mr Andrews has a range of qualifications including NVQ 3 in electrical installation, CompEx 1-4 explosive atmospheres, LVAP, Medical gases AP, and F-gas category 1 certification in refrigeration.
