Daikin set to complete OYL takeover
[firstParagraph]
DAIKIN is reported to have finally acquired 96% of OYL shares which will trigger a compulsory acquisition of the remainder.
The proposed £1.1bn purchase was given the go-ahead last month by European monopolies and mergers.
The successful purchase of the Malaysian OYL group, which includes AAF, McQuay and J&E Hall, stengthens the Japanese manufacturer's position as the second largest air-conditioning manufacturer behind Carrier.
