CIBSE launches webinar series to share knowledge

With the Coronavirus outbreak compelling businesses to embrace remote working it is more important than ever that building services engineers continue with their professional development (CPD).

To support its members and the global built environment community to continue to grow their knowledge, the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) community has launched a new webinar series #GrowYourKnowledge. The CIBSE community includes a wide range of disciplines reflected in our special interest groups, regions and societies.  This range of knowledge will contribute to a unique and engaging webinar series.

These free webinars take place every Thursday at 11.00 BST. Each session will feature a 20-45 minute presentation and will end with an interactive question and answer session.

The series commenced on 2 April with the webinar: CIBSE TM40 (2020) health and wellbeing in building services. This was presented by Julie Godefroy, CIBSE Technical Manager and TM40 editor, who discussed how changes in environmental conditions and advances in our knowledge of how these environments affect our health, comfort and cognitive performance.

Future upcoming webinar topics include:

  • Circadian lighting for health and wellbeing (23 April)
  • CIBSE climate action plan (30 April)
  • Becoming a CIBSE Fellow (7 May)
  • Heat Pumps: specification, integration and whole life impact (14 May)
