CIBSE launches 2019 training programme

Flexibility is the overarching theme of the recently released 2019 training programme from the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).

Designed in consultation with member companies, the programme for the coming year includes new subject areas as well as a very flexible range of delivery options, allowing individuals to meet their CPD requirements with a mix of remote, off-site and on-site training programmes.

For the next year, this will see CIBSE providing a wide range of public courses, dates and locations, covering topics such as electrical services, energy efficiency, facilities management, fire safety, lighting, mechanical services, water services, digital engineering, and public health. These are complemented by online soft skills, digital engineering, and core engineering modules.

CIBSE has developed its training into a number of online module packages that can be accessed remotely.  In-house training, allowing a number of individuals to receive instruction at the same time, is also an option.  The key is flexibility and candidates may request a combination of delivery channels to suit them.

Charlotte Stubbs, CIBSE Training group manager, commented: “This new programme will offer open course, in-house and online training solutions that benefit built environment professionals and organisations.

“We continue to develop and update our courses, and this year we will launch courses on drainage, updated regulations, and new online learning modules on acoustics and fire safety.“

CIBSE Training provides a range of bespoke corporate offerings, including graduate training solutions, in-house training and online learning module packages.
