BSRIA to offer fan coil unit testing

BSRIA has extended the scope of its United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accreditation to include fan coil unit testing, in accordance with BS EN 1397:2015.

Tom Garrigan, BSRIA Test House business manager.

BSRIA provides thermal performance testing in heating and cooling mode, as well as airflow performance testing for all types of fan coil units.

Testing is carried out in BSRIA’s dedicated environmental chamber, where clients can witness the testing and observe live test data.

Tests can be carried out in standard conditions, site specific conditions, or in accordance with other bespoke requirements, in addition to product development.

Tom Garrigan, business manager for BSRIA Test House, said: “Further extending the scope of our UKAS accreditation for fan coil units compliments BSRIA’s current portfolio of accredited testing activities, while also meeting the increasing demand for testing these products in accordance with a recognised European standard. The accreditation provides our clients with the reassurance that they are getting internationally recognised quality test data.”
