>B< MaxiPro takes cool spot at SkillFRIDGE

Trainee air conditioning and refrigeration installers got to grips with Conex Bänninger’s >B< MaxiPro press fittings when they took part in the annual SkillFRIDGE competition, forming part of WorldSkills UK Live at Birmingham’s NEC from 21-23 November 2019.

Apprentice James Hamblin.

During SkillFRIDGE, more than 50 Conex Bänninger >B< MaxiPro fittings were used by the apprentices throughout a range of press-fit installation challenges.

Dan Wild, business unit director for Conex Bänninger, said: “The SkillFRIDGE competition is a great opportunity for young apprentices entering into the industry to showcase their education in a hands-on and fun environment. It’s a platform where they are able to learn and explore new technologies and meet other young installers joining the industry.

“The apprentices participating in the press-fit element of the competition used our >B< MaxiPro fitting, which has been specifically designed for ACR systems. We’re excited to see more young people entering the industry who are adopting the press-fit method for installations.”
